Microchip – MCP8025 & MCP8026: 3-Phase BLDC Motor Gate Drivers Integrate Power Module and LIN Transceiver

The MCP8025/26 devices are 3-phase brushless DC (BLDC) power modules containing three integrated half bridge drivers capable of driving three external NMOS/NMOS transistor pairs. The three half bridge drivers are capable of delivering a peak output current of 0.5A at 12V for driving high side and low side NMOS MOSFET transistors. These devices can power a broad range of Microchip’s dsPIC Digital Signal Controllers (DSCs) and PIC microcontrollers (MCUs), complementing their control algorithms by driving MOSFETs, sensing current, preventing short circuits, outputting zero crosses, controlling dead time and blanking time, and monitoring for fault conditions such as over-/under-voltage, over-temperature and other thermal warnings.
