CUI Inc has announced the addition of 50W and 65W models to its new Level VI family of desktop AC/DC power supplies.
The SDI50-U and SDI65-U series meet the more stringent Level VI average efficiency and no-load power requirements drafted by the US Department of Energy (DoE), and set to come into effect in February 2016. The effect of the new standard is to significantly lower the amount of power consumed when the end application is not in use or is no longer connected to the system.
The new power supplies from CUI feature a wide universal input voltage range of 90V AC to 264V AC. They are available in single output voltages of 9V DC, 12V DC, 15V DC, 18V DC, 19V DC, 24V DC, and 48V DC.
The SDI50-U and SDI65-U series are supplied with UL/cUL, GS and PSE safety approvals, and meet the radiated- and conducted-emissions requirements of the FCC Part 15B Class B regulations. As a result, both series may be used anywhere in the world.
The power units are supplied in a compact package measuring 115 x 53 x 38mm, and have a three prong IEC320/C14 AC inlet.
The new SDI50-U and SDI65-U series extend CUI’s range of Level VI external AC/DC power supplies, which already included the SDI90-U, with a 90W maximum power rating, and the SDI120-U, with a 120W rating.
