The growth in the wearable technology and handheld devices market has exploded in the last two years, estimating it to grow to $35 billion by 2020. Compact wearable devices equal compact components. E-Switch offers new tact switches to fit this expanding market.
Introducing the TL3305, TL3360 and TL3365 miniature tact switches, these compact surface mount designs fit numerous wearable and handheld device applications.
The TL3305 tact switch is a mere 4.5 x 4.5mm in dimension with a surface mount termination, two operating forces to choose from – 160 gf or 260 gf, plus operating lifecycle of 200,000 and 500,000 respectively. It also offers multiple actuator lengths of 3.8mm, 5.0mm and 7.0mm and an electrical rating of 50mA at 12VDC.
Designed for right angle surface mount applications, the TL3360 offers multiple actuation heights of 2.30mm, 2.80mm, 4.0mm and 4.35mm, plus two operating force options of 185 gf or 260 gf. This miniature tact switch is 6 x 6.5mm in dimension, has an electrical rating of 50mA at 12VDC and electrical life of 200,000 cycles.
Micro-miniature in size at a mere 4.2 x 3.2mm, the TL3365 tact switch provides a surface mount design with an electrical rating of 50mA at 12VDC and electrical life of 100,000 cycles. The actuation height is 2.25mm and provides an actuation force of 180 gf.
With small footprints and SMT design, the TL3305, TL3360 and TL3365 are ideal for numerous applications in the wearable technology and handheld devices market, as well as medical devices, audio/visual, computer/ peripherals.
